About GCJGF | Gold Coast Junior Golf Foundation, Inc. (GCJGF)

Our Story

GCJGF is a 501(c) 3 Tax Exempt Charitable Youth Organization started in July of 1998, by three members on the Board of the JGA of Broward County, to provide year-round golf opportunities for juniors to play in one-day, 9 & 18- hole (Gold Tour) and two-day, 36-hole (Platinum Tour) tournaments. Many members have gained valuable experience and have gone on to careers in the golf industry, played on the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour, and also have become leaders in their communities.

What We Stand For

The mission of the Gold Coast Junior Golf Foundation, Inc. is to provide junior golfers under the age of nineteen the opportunity to participate in organized golf competitions or golf related events with others their age and skills level. An emphasis is placed on the benefits to life, society, and community that can be derived through Education, Leadership, Teamwork, and Fellowship by participating in a sport where each individual player is responsible for playing under the rules of golf and fair play.

Scholarships

We strive to give our golfers more than just competitive development. That is why every year, we provide thousands of dollars in scholarships to qualifying members who have remained faithful throughout the years to the GCJGF program. It is our way of saying “thank you” and ensuring that each of our players encounter success in their lives.

At Gold Coast Junior Golf Foundation, family matters most! We create a hospitable and family-friendly environment at every single event that we host. GCJGF is where family bonds are strengthened and lifelong relationships are formed.

Competitive Development

Gold Coast Junior Golf Foundation prides itself in playing a pivotal role in developing golfers who exceed on the course. From Big Break contestants to collegiate/Professional players, GCJGF has an impressive roster of alumni; from contestants on the Golf Channel’s “Big Break” series and the winner of Big Break – Mexico to many members that went on to play for their college golf teams. There are currently over 25 former members playing on professional tours around the world.

Relationship Building

We believe that golf is more than just a game; that is why we encourage all of our members to build friendships while still on the golf course. GCJGF is where lifelong bonds are formed.

Junior Tour Partnerships

GCJGF partners with major organizations, such as the Florida State Golf Association (FJT) and other tours that also offer Junior Golf Scoreboard ranked tournaments. Gold Coast Junior Golf Foundation wants all of their members to play in as many junior events as possible.
